Where girls’ ideas come to soar
A bilingual business accelerator for girls ages 8–13 in Massachusetts.
Hero
She doesn't just want to build a business. She wants to build something that matters.
Camp Ascendela is a business accelerator with social impact at its core. for 20 bilingual girls in Massachusetts, and for those ready to learn a new language along the way. We help her find a problem worth solving, and give her the guides, the community, and the confidence to solve it.
Ideas in. Real founders out.
The Big Idea
Most programs teach kids to build a business. We start somewhere different: who are you building it for?
Every girl at Camp Ascendela begins by choosing a real problem. Then she tells us the two things that make it hers: whyit matters to her, and whatsolution she wants to build. From there, she spends the whole program learning to bring that solution to life.
Intensive Weeks
The camp is broken into different topics every day. Each topic is taught in a way to make them actually stick meeting the needs of every camper.
Watch: A short video that makes the idea click.
Listen: A podcast that goes deeper, like a friend telling you about something great.
Read: A story about a young founder facing the same thing she's facing.
Do: A hands-on challenge she can tackle from a home computer.
The Journey
It starts with a problem she cares about. We hand her a curated list of real social impact problems. She chooses one, then tells us why it matters to her and what solution she wants to build.
Then we hand her the spark. In November, Campers will be paired up in cabins with another camper, located in Massachusetts, to build their business together. During our founding talk on creativity they will be given the tools to think differently and crack their problem.
Then she builds for real.. Campers will learn about market research, branding, sales, public speaking, and money during school vacation weeks, known as intensive weeks. Throughout the program, campers will receive a package monthly with everything they need to build a part of their plan.
And she finishes on stage. The program closes with two days of practice before Pitch Fest. At Pitch Fest on April 25th, each cabin will present their business plan to a panel of judges in various business fields for a chance to compete for a prize.
Why "camp"?
Because the best camps change kids. The right guide, a community that believes in you, and someone in your corner who's already walked the trail that's what turns a nervous first day into the summer you never forget.
At Ascendela, mentors are Counselors. Founders are campers who become a crew. And nobody climbs alone.
Who it's for

We made it specifically for her. Not for everyone. For her.
